March 9, 2021

After a difficult past year, we wanted to hear from our clients about how they are maintaining a positive outlook and what they are most looking forward to in 2021 with both their business and personal lives!

We all have seniors who matter to us and who need a supportive living situation in order to flourish. We offer vibrant retirement residences where seniors can live independently, enjoy an all-inclusive lifestyle, and surround themselves with friendship and purpose.

List the top three things you’re excited about for 2021

Amanda Lehman-Choi, Director, Corporate Brand, Oakwyn Realty

  1. Vaccinations to come out to the general public.
  2. Countries opening their borders (hopefully)
  3. New opportunities

  1. The full reopening of restaurants! (that might still be a long shot)
  2. More human in-person connection.
  3. My own professional development.

  1. Covid-19 vaccinations
  2. Hugging my Mom and Dad.
  3. Never hearing the phrase ‘unprecedented times’ again.

What are your top 3 shows, documentaries, podcasts, or books you’re tuning into right now that you’d recommend?

  1. Next up in my Audible library is “What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast” by Laura Vanderkam.
  2. I just finished Untamed by Glennon Doyle because my mom said so and I will forever need the daily reminder to trust the voice within.
  3. Sporadic sound bites of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast because I love the drams.

Janice Miller, Manager of Marketing and Community Relations, Bria Communities Seniors’ Residences

  1.  The Popcast podcast with Knox and Jamie (They are hilariously educating me on things that entertain me but do not matter).
  2. The Next Right Thing Guided Journal and Decision Making Companion by Emily P. Freeman. (Helping me wade through the shallow parts of my life into the deep end.)
  3. Libby, the free app used by the Fraser Valley Library for borrowing audiobooks. (Way cheaper than Audible and no listening limits!)

Let us know what your favourite shows and podcasts are right now, the more recommendations the better!
