What do you do?
I’m the operations guy here at Jelly and there are 3 primary focuses for me. First, I will be working on the back end of the day to day operations, helping ensure the right structure and systems are in place so that the team is well supported. My second area of focus will be sales support, which will entail helping Darian put together proposals, review customer contracts, and/or doing whatever else is needed to help Darian focus on Sales. Finally, as I get more familiar with the company, I will be supplemental piece of that sales team, going to events or taking sales calls when Darian cannot.
What’s your spirit animal?
My spirit animal is a wolf. Individually, wolves are strong, agile, perceptive and have good instincts, however, they work best in the structure and support of a team. They are co-dependant by nature, and so am I, I work best in a group rather than alone. As Mowgli from The Jungle Book would say, the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.
What’s your favourite memory from your first week at Jelly?
My favorite memory from my first week at Jelly was how friendly and supportive everyone is here. My favrorite single moment from my first week was White Spot Pirate Pak day 🙂
What’s your personal motto?
I’m not sure I have a personal motto, but one quote in recent years that has stuck with me is “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self” – Scott Fitzgerald. That is a concept I try to focus on daily.
