What inspired you to start your career at Beyond Fashion Magazine?
I started Beyond Fashion Magazine about three years ago after quitting my job in finance. I’ve always been fascinated with the world of fashion and beauty, and it felt natural to move in that direction. And creating your own platform seemed like a good idea.
What was your first Industry job?
I was a reporter for another digital fashion magazine.
What has been the biggest challenge you have had to overcome?
Probably separating my personal opinions on the world’s current events and politics from the magazine’s neutral position.
If you were not in media – what industry would you work in?
I would’ve probably finished my CFA and work at a bank. Or go into politics.
What has been a highlight of your career?
Meeting some really interesting and inspiring women like Michelle Romanow, Sylvia Mantella, Roxy Earle, Sangita Patel and many others.
What motivates you in your work?
Personal and professional growth has always been my primary motivation. I like setting goals for myself, working out a strategy and achieving what I want. It’s essential to keep improving ourselves, learn new things, and enjoy the process.
What is one piece of advice you’d give someone that wants to pursue a career like yours?
Never give up and never say ‘no’ to opportunities that come your way.
